MY APPROACH
At five, I would often steal my mother's lipstick. Her voice would carry through the house: "Virginie, have you taken my lipstick?" Those first, unsteady gestures were already the beginning of a lifelong passion.
I came of age in the nineties, among icons as varied as they were compelling, who shaped the way I see beauty. The rebellious allure of Shirley Manson or Toni Halliday on one side, the understated nude aesthetic of the time on the other. Two opposing ways of highlighting a face, and the quiet certainty that neither was truer than the other.
At twenty-eight, I left broadcasting for the Flavia Palmeira makeup school, went on to Australia with Benefit Cosmetics, and then to Paris: television, luxury hospitality, private clients. From the film Le Tigre et le Président to the pages of AMV Wedding and The Atlas Magazine, I learned to work with image in all its forms.
At the close of 2024, I returned to Lyon, my hometown city, with one clear purpose: to devote myself entirely to brides.
To me, beauty lies neither in transformation nor in concealment, but in what is already there, and what we cease to notice when we see ourselves every day.
An introvert behind an extrovert's façade, I am deeply attuned to atmosphere and to all that surrounds me. That sensitivity naturally shapes the way I care for my clients. When a woman places her trust in me, I am fully aware of what she is sharing, and of the responsibility it carries.
Every woman arrives with her own story, her own wishes, and at times her doubts and the gaze she turns upon herself. I hold our conversations in the strictest confidence, so that she may speak freely, without fear of being judged or exposed.
This is also why I invite you to set the mirror aside while you are being prepared. When we look at every detail, the mirror becomes a silent judge, forever drawing the eye back to what we like least in ourselves. I do not see the flaws you sometimes seek to correct. I see a face as a whole: an expression, a set of features, a personality.
